Dr. Julie Buckner received $204,799 from the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Bureau of Health Services Financing (Medicaid)’s Louisiana Public University Partnership Program.
The project is geared toward understanding the impact of brief-motivation enhancement-based interventions for substance misuse while hospitalized for medical and/or psychiatric reasons to test whether access to these interventions in an inpatient hospital-based setting improves post-discharge outcomes for Medicaid recipients. Dr. Buckner is conducting this study in partnership with Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
