Activate Your Workday Student Account

Workday Student is the University's student information system where you can manage your academic, personal, and financial information. 

Setting Up Your Workday Student Account

Once you’re admitted and you’ve accepted your offer of admission, you will need to set up your LSU Workday Student account. You will receive an email to set up your account to the same email address you used during the application process.

Submit Any Official Documents

All official documents are due within the first 30 days after the first day of class in order to avoid future registration issues.

Standardized Test Scores

Official test scores are sent directly from the testing agency. The Institution Code is 6373.

Information for First-Time International Students

Residency for Tuition Purposes

Louisiana residency for tuition purposes is governed by Permanent Memorandum 31.

Students must meet all of the requirements of PM-31 to qualify for Louisiana residency.

Residency is assigned during the application process based on the information you provided. If you feel you were incorrectly assigned, please email gradres@lsu.edu for additional assistance.

Schedule Your Classes

Incoming students should consult with their advisors before scheduling courses. Students are responsible for knowing and observing registration deadlines.

Steps to Register for Classes

Class registration takes place through your LSU Workday Student account. After accepting your offer of admission and setting up your account, you will be able to access registration if your registration window has opened. If you have holds, you may be required to resolve them prior to accessing registration.

Obtain a Tiger Card

The Tiger Card is the official identification card of LSU. The Tiger Card is issued to students, faculty, staff, university retirees, university guests and more.

How to Obtain a Tiger Card

The Tiger Card can be obtained on the 1st floor of the LSU Student Union. Along with identification, the Tiger Card is also used for building/dorm access, laundry, printing, vending, off- and on-campus vendors, dining services, library book check-out, discounts and is now an official form of ID when voting in Louisiana!

Pay Fees

After you have scheduled your courses, you can complete your course registration by paying your fee bill.

New Graduate Student Orientation

We are excited for new graduate students to attend our orientation, and new teaching assistants to attend a workshop designed to help adjust to your new role.

The New Graduate Student Orientation provides information to ease your transition into graduate school and introduces you to campus services and involvement opportunities.

New Graduate Teaching Assistant Workshop

A workshop for new graduate teaching assistants is offered each fall. More details will be provided at a later time.
