The LGBTQ+ Center's signature events contribute to an inclusive and welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ students at LSU. The Project provides significant celebratory, social, academic, and professional opportunities for LGBTQ+ and allied students, faculty, and staff to engage in diverse experiences and demonstrations of self-determination and identity affirmation.
Fall
Rainbeaux Rush
Rainbeaux Rush is a celebration that kicks off the academic year for LGBTQ+ students & allies. The program provides opportunities for new and returning folx to foster connections and learn about both campus and local resources for the LGBTQ+ community at LSU.
Annual Welcome Brunch
The first annual LGBTQ+ Brunch for new students, hosted by the LGBTQ+ Center.
Coming Out Day
Every year on or before National Coming Out Day on October 11, the LGBTQ+ Project celebrates coming out and LGBTQ+ awareness.
Trans Day of Remembrance
Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR) is an annual observance on November 20 to honor the memory of those whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.
Spring
Trans Day of Celebration
Trans Day of Celebration (TDoC) is an annual holiday on March 31 to celebrate the accomplishments, victories, and visibility of transgender and gender non-binary people.
Lavender Graduation
Lavender Graduation celebrates, recognizes, and honors LGBTQ+ students who successfully complete their college careers at LSU. The celebration is held at the end of the spring semester each year.
