Faculty and staff are invited to nominate undergraduate students who demonstrate promise,
resilience, or leadership potential. Nominations help connect students with opportunities
designed to support academic, personal, and professional growth. We encourage you
to nominate students who:

Partner in the Experience
LSU Horizons uses a collaborative staffing model that brings together faculty, staff, and Division of Engagement, Civil Rights & Title IX professionals to support student learning and community partnerships. Faculty and staff are invited to partner in the roles shared below, contributing their expertise to strengthen student development and community impact.
Student Experience Partner
Ensure students are informed about daily plans, logistics, and expectations, and support participation and well-being by communicating on-site needs and helping address gaps as they arise.
Education & Reflection Partner
Leads learning outcomes, reflection, storytelling, and leadership development, helping
students connect service experiences to academic and personal growth.

LSUA&M faculty and staff may participate by nominating students and/or serving as volunteers.
Faculty and staff partners can expect an immersive, hands-on experience that combines community engagement, student support, and reflection. You will collaborate with students, community partners, and fellow staff, support daily activities, and contribute your expertise to student learning, leadership development, and meaningful community impact.
The Division of Engagement, Civil Rights & Title IX will defray the cost for faculty & staff partners who are selected to participate in LSU Horizons.
Faculty & Staff interested in participating in LSU Horizons will need to complete the brief interest form. Additional information is available within the form.
Faculty and staff partners should plan to bring comfortable, service-appropriate clothing, personal toiletries, any required medications, and materials needed for reflection or facilitation if applicable to your role. We also recommend bringing a flexible mindset, readiness to collaborate, and a willingness to engage fully with students and community partners.
