Statement of Support for CMDA International Students

07/10/2020

Dear CMDA Students,

The CMDA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee has issued a statement regarding the recent situation with the federal government and international students. It has our full endorsement.

In light of the sudden changes announced by the federal government regarding student visas, it is of greater importance now than ever to renew the College of Music & Dramatic Arts’ commitment to ensuring high-quality educational opportunities for students from across the globe.  We value the varied perspectives and tremendous artistry of our international student population and recognize that our community would suffer without their presence. Our College is dedicated to providing hybrid and in-person opportunities to satisfy the new federal requirements and maintain the richness of our population.  As this situation develops, know that we will adapt as needed to serve our students in the safest and least disruptive way possible.

Please let us know if you have any questions that we can answer.

All my best,

M. Todd Queen, DMA
