Pierce receives TAF Teaching Award for outstanding teaching

Sarah Pierce, Associate Professor and Robert J. and Eugene East Bujol Alumni Professor in the School of Social Work, received the Tiger Athletic Foundation Undergraduate Teaching Award for outstanding teaching. She was honored at a reception at the Lod Cook Alumni Center on May 4, 2016.

Pierce’s areas of expertise include the adult-child relationship, and predictors of sensitive parenting and caregiving.

Pierce received her PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, her master’s in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, her masters of arts in English History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her bachelors in European History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
