CTP Lunch and Learn Series ft. Dr. David Gerlach

Diversity, Inclusion & Exclusion in the German Educational System

12:00-1:00 p.m.
Tuesday, February 21
310 Peabody

Dr. David Gerlach, a researcher at Philipps-Universität in Marburg, Germany studies the field of language teaching and teacher education with a focus on inclusive education. In his talk he will present the basic ideas behind the inclusion model and discuss how different educational systems (i.e. Finland and Germany) deal with the normative postulations connected to it. In the course, he will not only debunk some of the myths connected to inclusive education, but also invite the audience to share their experiences.

This event is sponsored by the Curriculum Theory Project, School of Education. The Lunch and Learn Series is an effort to allow faculty and students to learn from fellow colleagues and to present works in progress to the scholastic community.

All faculty and students are welcome to attend.
