LSU Counseling Virtual Open House

Make a difference. Be a counselor.

The Counselor Education faculty will host two virtual open houses for prospective students on November 2, 2021 at 9 a.m. and November 4, 2021 at 4 p.m. Attendees will hear from both faculty and current students about program requirements, expectations, classes, and more.

The LSU Counselor Education program is a 60-hour master's program in counseling with two distinct concentrations: Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. The program prepares students to function as professional counselors in a variety of human service settings and is nationally accredited by the CACREP. Graduates use their knowledge and skills to help individuals, couples, and families from diverse populations to enhance life adjustment, foster personal growth and wellness, promote social justice and advocacy, and expand competencies in coping with environmental demands across the lifespan.
