LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens is proud to join American Public Gardens Association and 500+ gardens nationwide in celebrating Go Public Gardens Days. This fun-filled weekend celebration will be full of free events for the whole family to enjoy. Go Public Gardens Days is an ongoing, evergreen initiative of the American Public Gardens Association meant to drive the public to visit, value, and volunteer at public gardens in their area and when they travel.

Saturday, May 14
7 - 9 a.m. | Birding at Burden
Birding enthusiasts will lead three separate guided birding tours through several
of the six birding loops at Burden.
9 - 10 a.m | Walk With a Doc
Get moving and take a walk with Our Lady of the Lake psychiatrist, Dr. Mark Zielinski,
to learn the ins and outs of what psychiatrists do.
9 a.m. - Noon | Children’s Activities
Join us for StoryTime in the Garden with the Junior League of Baton Rouge and for Fairy Gardening with the EBR Master Gardeners
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. | Yoga Class with Pilates Plus Baton Rouge
Tone up and relax with yoga in the gardens.
12:30 - 1:30 a.m. | Forest Bathing with the Red Shoes
Immerse yourselves into the forest and experience its sights, sounds, aromas and textures
to connect with nature and to experience a positive benefit for your mind, body, and
spirit.
2-3 p.m. – Herbal Teas with the Baton Rouge Unit of the Herb Society of America
Join the Herb Society to learn all about common herbal teas and their many benefits.
Stick around for a tea sampling afterward.
