Mission Statement

The broad mission goals for the Biomass-Derived Fuels Analysis Core (BFAC) are to:

• Provide access to sustainable, dedicated, state-of-the-art facilities for research and development in the synthesis of biomass-derived fuels and chemicals

• Develop and establish sustainable training and education programs leveraging BFAC capabilities

• Incorporate new facilities relevant to fuels and chemicals synthesis to make state-of-the-art resources available to academic, industrial, and government customers

• Develop and maintain repositories for data generated through BFAC resources for use by jurisdiction-wide researchers

Vision

The Biomass-Derived Fuels Analysis Core (BFAC) will be a distributed, sustainable, and widely available resource conduit for advancing strategic research and development (R&D) for biomass-derived fuels and chemicals.
