5-meter Toroidal Grating Monochromator (5m-TGM) Beamline

The beamline is equipped with three interchangeable toroidal gratings which cover the photon energies:

25 eV-60 eV (300 gr/mm)
50 eV-120 eV (600 gr/mm)
100 eV-240 eV (1200 gr/mm)

The resolving power at the Boron K edge (~200 eV) is about 800.

Omicron EA-125 photoelectron analyzer for ARUPS and XPS

The end station for the 5-m-TGM is equipped with:

• Omicron EA-125 photoelectron analyzer for UPS (ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy) and XPS (X-ray Photoemission Spectroscopy)
• LEED (low energy electron diffraction) optics
• Sputtering/annealing and thin-film deposition for surface science applications
• Conventional laboratory UV and dual-anode X-ray sources
• Soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy (25 eV-240 eV) can be performed with a total electron yield method

All measurements are done under ultra-high-vacuum (UHV) conditions.
