GPS Business Brokers Partners with Dallas Based Liberty Business Exchange

Innovation Park tenant, GPS Business Brokers, partners with Liberty Business Exchange to expand their consulting services to the Baton Rouge area.

The LSU Innovation Park / Louisiana Business & Technology Center announces the partnership and development of a new Louisiana affiliate business.  Liberty Business Exchange, a Texas entity with over 40 years in business, is growing to serve Louisiana through its new affiliate, GPS Business Brokers, from its new office in Baton Rouge.  Since 1980, Liberty Exchange has operated as an association of independent business brokers with headquarters in Dallas.  Brokers Jim Goldman, Tom Given, CPA, CVA, and Charlie Tyler, CPA are proud to announce the association of Christopher Peters, MBA, CFE, CIDA, MAFF as the newest broker.  Chris will manage the Baton Rouge location, and with Charlie Tyler, will support business owners with brokerage and consulting services.

Charlie Tyler, a former company located at the Louisiana Business & Technology Center at LSU, has united with current LBTC company owner, Chris Peters, bring a new business concept to Louisiana.  They have worked together through their independent businesses at the LBTC to start this new Louisiana affiliate.

GPS utilizes various technologies in the process of marketing clients.  GPS generates and advertises a business profile / blind profile to describe the business and general area of operation.  Since most business owners do not want all to know that the business is for sale, the business owner has full control of the listing display.  The profile is advertised on several separate websites frequented by prospective buyers and private equity firms.  Prospective Buyers are screened by GPS and are required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement (i.e. NDA Agreement) prior to the disclosure of any business or financial information.  GPS guides its clients through the negotiations, due diligence, offer, and closing phases of the processes.
