Now in its third year supporting the Geaux Communicate initiative, LSU’s Communication-Intensive (C-I) Teaching Fellows program is pleased to announce the 2025–26 cohort. These four teachers have demonstrated a significant commitment to advancing C-I teaching and learning within their own teaching and throughout their departments and colleges. In collaboration with Dr. Jennifer Baumgartner, faculty chair of Communication across the Curriculum (CxC), the Teaching Fellows will create, and disseminate innovative teaching development resources across campus, all in support of advancing undergraduate communication skills development.

The 2025–26 C-I Teaching Fellows are:

  • Dr. Emily Elliott, Department of Psychology, College of Humanities & Social Sciences
  • Mindy McCallum, Department of Biological Sciences, College of Science
  • Dr. Danielle Thomas, Department of Sociology, College of Humanities & Social Sciences
  • Dr. Shea Vela-Vick, Department of Mathematics, College of Science

Join us in congratulating these seven outstanding faculty members and their ongoing commitment to teaching and learning at LSU.
