March 9th & 10th, 2018

Louisiana State University

Baton Rouge, Louisiana

The History Graduate Conference is an opportunity for graduate student scholars to present original research and receive critical feedback from peers and experts in their respective fields.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Daniel Greene, a guest exhibition curator at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C., who is preparing an exhibition on Americans and the Holocaust set to open in 2018 in commemoration of the Museum's twenty-fifth anniversary, as well as an Adjunct Professor of History at Northwestern University. Greene's publications include The Jewish Origins of Cultural Pluralism: The Menorah Association and American Diversity and Home Front: Daily Life in the Civil War North. He was awarded the Saul Viener Prize by the American Jewish Historical Society for the best book in American Jewish History published 2011-2012.

The conference will also feature presentations from graduate students from across the United States and abroad, covering numerous fields and approaches of historical scholarship, and a wide variety of chronological and geographical boundaries.
