BATON ROUGE – LSU has launched a Digital Twin Design and Production Certificate to train business and technical leaders in one of the fastest‑growing technologies transforming construction, manufacturing, and energy – industries essential to Louisiana’s economy.
To earn an LSU Engineering degree, students have to pass some notoriously difficult classes, some of which have high failure rates. To help more students pass these classes - and graduate on time - college leaders this semester came up with what they hope is a winning solution. They changed how the toughest classes are taught.
The LSU Board of Supervisors approved the creation of the LSU School of Construction within the College of Engineering in Thursday’s meeting. The proposal now moves to the Louisiana Board of Regents for a vote in 2026 in a bid to position Louisiana to lead a once-in-a-generation transformation of the construction industry.
