LSU HHMI News

Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences Assistant Professor Sonja Wiley-Patton (center) is leading a team of researchers to determine why the healthcare industry has been reluctant to adopt information technology, especially when that technology could reduce life-threatening errors in medical patient treatment. Undergraduate students Mia Etienne (right), a participant in the Chancellor’s Future Leaders in Research program, and Alicia Guidry (far right), sponsored by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Professors’ Program, are collecting data for the project.
