What is Alternative Service Break? ASB worked with AmeriCorps in St. Louis area public schools in Winter 2011.
| BACKGROUND |
Founded in 2003, Alternative Service Break at LSU provides a way for students to experience service in communities other than their own. ASB participants serve during times designated as school breaks.
ASB is a unique experience - it could change you. ASB at LSU is the 92nd organization to become part of the national chapter of Break Away.
ASB's first trip was to Atlanta, Georgia, during Spring Break 2004. Sanaz Aghazadeh and Monty Aghazadeh are the founders.
