LSU will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 14, due to the forecast of severe weather. All daytime activities scheduled for Wednesday are cancelled. The LSU Women’s Basketball game vs. Lamar at 7 p.m. in the Maravich Center is still scheduled at this time. Please check the official website of LSU Athletics for additional updates.  

LSU Online students should check with their Learner Concierge or faculty member for more information on those 100% online programs.

The closure includes the University Laboratory School, the LSU Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool, the Law Center and the Vet School.

LSU plans to reopen for normal business on Thursday, Dec. 15.

LSU residence halls have closed for winter break but on-campus apartments remain open. LSU Parking & Transportation Services will run reduced bus service unless it becomes unsafe to do so.

Essential employees should check with their supervisors about whether they should report to work on Wednesday.

The LSU Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP) will be closely monitoring this weather event, will remain in contact with the National Weather Service and our local and state government officials, and will provide updates as conditions warrant and/or if any information becomes available about direct impacts to LSU campuses.
