The National Weather Service is forecasting severe storms for Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning with impact in the Baton Rouge area most likely between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

LSU will close at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, due to the forecast of severe weather. Classes and activities scheduled for 12:30 p.m. or later on Wednesday are cancelled. LSU Online students should check with their Learner Concierge or faculty member for more information on those 100% online programs.

LSU residence halls, on-campus apartments and dining halls will remain open. Please check the LSU Dining website for updates regarding dining hall hours.

The LSU Testing Center will be closed. Students will be able to reschedule their exams.

This campus closure applies to all nonessential employees. Essential employees should check with their supervisors about whether they should remain at work on Wednesday afternoon. All supervisors are responsible for determining those essential employees who should remain on duty, report for duty, or those who should report to alternate work locations, as necessary. Employees with further questions should seek guidance from their supervisors.
