Campus Closed Monday

Saturday, June 6, 2020; 9:05 p.m.

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

Due to Tropical Storm Cristobal, the LSU campus will be closed on Monday, June 8. All remote and online classes will still be held as planned.

Campus offices will be closed. Employees who were scheduled to be on campus Monday should not come to campus but instead work remotely if possible. Only essential personnel performing weather-related tasks should report to campus on Monday. Any questions about your essential-personnel or remote-work status should be directed to your supervisor.

Employees who are working remotely should continue to do so.

The Office of Human Resource Management will send instructions for time entry for the weather-related closure to all time-keepers in a separate email.

Since flooding and windy conditions could possibly occur, it is advisable to stay off the roads and monitor local weather reports throughout the storm.

LSU will continue to monitor Tropical Storm Cristobal. At this time, LSU expects to reopen on Tuesday, June 9. If the situation changes, we will let you know through email, text message, on lsu.edu and on LSU’s social media channels and mobile app.

Anyone who has not already signed up to receive emergency text messages from LSU can do so at my.lsu.edu by clicking on “Personal Preferences” and then “Emergency Contacts.”
