June Pulliam teaches courses in horror film and fiction, young adult fiction, and gender and popular culture, as well as college composition and legal writing, and is a member of the Womens and Gender Studies and Screen Arts programs at LSU. She is the co-author of four books about the horror genre, as well as The Encyclopedia of the Zombie, Ghosts in Legend and Popular Culture, and Richard Matheson’s Monsters: Gender in the Stories, Scripts, Novels, and Twilight Zone Episodes. Her monographs include Monstrous Bodies: Feminine Power in Young Adult Horror Fiction and Listen to Punk Rock! She is also the past editor of Dead Reckonings and the author of many articles about horror fiction and young adult fiction.
