Empowering Future Leaders: LSU Student Named Vice Chair of IAFP Student Professional Developing Group

This summer, Aakankshya Dhakal, a Ph.D. student in the School of Nutrition and Food Sciences at Louisiana State University, expanded her leadership role within the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) by being elected Vice Chair of the Student Professional Development Group (SPDG).
In this position, Aakankshya will help guide initiatives that promote student engagement, professional growth, and global collaboration in the food safety community.
Previously, she served as International Affiliate Representative for the SPDG, where she connected with more than 57 international affiliates dedicated to advancing food safety worldwide. Her continued leadership within IAFP reflects her commitment to fostering global partnerships and empowering the next generation of food safety professionals.
