Honors College Student Council seek to:

• promote the interests and welfare of the LSU Honors College

• provide social, cultural, and educational opportunities for the students of the Honors College

• create and maintain a forum for the discussion of issues and concerns vital to the students of the Honors College and to represent those concerns to the campus and community

Honor Statement

During the 2003-2004 session of the Honors College Student Council, members of the Honors College adopted a statement that made concrete the commitment of Honors students to learning and integrity.

We, the students of the Honors College at Louisiana State University, pledge to uphold the highest personal, academic and social standards for the betterment of our community and ourselves. We will make every effort to maintain the highest level of integrity by opposing all forms of academic dishonesty so that we may preserve the honor for which the Honors College stands. We will support the academic mission of both LSU and the Honors College in order to achieve a balanced education that extends beyond the classroom and into our community. As students of the Honors College at Louisiana State University, we pledge to uphold these ideals now and in our future personal and professional lives.
