The Student Health Center is currently offering the COVID-19 vaccine, COVID-19 booster, and the flu vaccine. All students, faculty, and staff are eligible. 

All vaccines are offered during Injection Clinic hours:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.–3:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. 

Walk-ins are welcome; however, to expedite the process, schedule an appointment in the Injection Clinic by visiting the Patient Portal or by calling (225) 578-6716, complete any forms and consents associated with your appointment type, and upload your insurance information and card, if applicable, on the patient portal. 

COVID-19 Vaccines

The COVID-19 vaccines are newly updated (2023-2024) in an effort to protect against newer strains of COVID-19.

Updated Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 monovalent mRNA vaccines were approved by the FDA in September 2023 to provide broader protection against newer strains of COVID-19. The newly updated (2023-2024) Novavax protein-based vaccine is authorized for emergency use (EUA).

Cost

The COVID-19 vaccine and booster shot are available free to all.

Flu Vaccines

The Student Health Center is offering Fluarix, the quadrivalent flu vaccine, to all students, faculty, and staff, while supplies last.
