Welcome
Welcome to the Reilly
Center for Media & Public Affairs, an integral component of the Manship
School of Mass Communication. Our mission is to generate thoughtful
programs, dialogue and research about mass communication and its many
faceted relationships with social, economic and political issues. We
are very fortunate to be part of the
Manship School of Mass
Communication, and we use the intellectual muscle of the school’s
faculty and graduate students to help solve practical problems and
advance good government initiatives.
Our agenda is diverse
and fluid – from the annual
John Breaux
Symposium, which brings in national experts to discuss a topic that
has received little or no attention, to conducting
research that impacts policy on
such issues as juvenile justice reform and workforce development. We
are action-oriented and partnership-driven. The Center is dedicated to
tackling ideas and issues that explore the role of the media and
democracy. Please check out our
Project Agenda
for a full listing of current programming and available publications.
One of our newest
projects, a site on
diversity resources, for use by mass communication educators and
professional can be accessed here as well.
Thank you for visiting and we look forward to hearing from you.
