Jenny Ballard

Jenny Ballard

Jenny Ballard (Director) is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN. Until very recently, she lived in Baton Rouge, where she served as Managing Artistic Director of Theatre Baton Rouge, and as an Adjunct Professor in the Theatre Department at Louisiana State University. She received her B.A. in English and Theatre from the University of TN, and her M.F.A. in Theatre Performance from LSU. She has been acting and directing professionally for over 23 years. She is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, and been seen in American Horror Story: Coven, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, Cover Me, NCIS: New Orleans, The First, Keanu, and most recently in Apple TV+’s Black Bird. Favorite theatrical acting credits include Proof, The Taming of the Shrew, Pride and Prejudice, Twelfth Night, All the King’s Men, King Lear, A Few Good Men, The Crucible, and Clue; favorite directing credits include Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Disney’s Newsies, Rock of Ages, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Drowsy Chaperone, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Baskerville: A Sherlock Homes Mystery, The Wizard of Oz, Godspell, and Little Women.


Kyla Kazuschyk

Kyla Kazuschyk

Kyla Kazuschyk (Costume Designer) holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Costume Technology from Ohio University. She has worked at the Santa Fe Opera, the Washington National Opera, the Florida Grand Opera, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, and the Texas Shakespeare Festival. Before coming to LSU, she spent seven years teaching and serving as the Costume Workroom Supervisor at the University of Central Florida. Recently, she has been building uniforms for the dance teams of professional basketball teams the Orlando Magic and the Detroit Pistons.

John Michael Eddy

John Michael Eddy (Scenic and Props Designer) is the Props Designer/Mentor for the LSU School of Theatre; he completed his undergraduate work at the University of Arizona and holds an MFA in Theater Production and Design from Temple University in Philadelphia. In addition to his prop work and scenic designs, he serves on the Board of Directors for Playmakers of Baton Rouge; Playmakers is a children’s educational theatre group who is proud to call the LSU Reilly Theater their home. www.johhmeddy.com

Smaida Massatt

Smaida Massatt (Lighting Designer) worked as a lighting designer and electrician in the Chicago and Minneapolis areas. She earned her MFA in Lighting Design at the University of Minnesota. Some of the theatres she has worked for include Minnesota Children’s Theatre Co., Penumbra Theatre, Minnesota Opera, Theatre Latté Da, Interact Theater Company. She has also worked in several capacities in numerous theaters and dance companies including Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Chicago Opera Theater, Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre, and Chicago Puppet Festival.


Tyler Kieffer

Tyler Kieffer

Tyler Kieffer (Sound Designer) is the Assistant Professor of Sound Design and Technology for LSU Theatre. His work is primarily new plays, opera, and immersive theatre and has been twice nominated for the New York Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Sound Design in 2019 for Will Arbery’s Plano and in 2021 for Tectonic Theater Project’s Seven Deadly Sins. Haley Hughes (Asst. Sound Designer) is a senior Theater (design and technology) major. Previous credits include Assistant Sound Designer for Swine Palace’s Craters, Sound Designer for the LSU Lab Season’s Belleville, and she will be sound designing LSU Lab Season’s Antigone: Presented by the Girls of St. Catherine.

Isabelle Louis (Stage Manager) is a senior Theatre (Design & Technology) major and Communication Studies minor. Previous credits include assistant stage-managing LSU Theatre Mainstage’s Airness and stage-managing LSU's 2023 Dance & Physical Theatre Showcase. She also stage-managed TBR's Rock of Ages and serves as the secretary of the Physical Theatre Club and Public Relations | Outreach Chair of the University Theatre Alliance. Ella Labaj (Assistant Stage Manager) is a junior Theatre (Movement) major with a minor in Dance. Previous Credits include Swine Palace Theatre Craters, LSU’s 2023 Dance and Physical Theatre Showcase, and LSU Mainstage’s Airness. She is also the current public relations chair for the Physical Theatre Club. Ella currently works as a choreographer for film and television (Apple TV) and dance teams across the country.

Maddie Roby (Carly) is a senior Theatre (performance) major here at LSU. Her previous credits include TBR’s Legally Blonde as Serena and Rocky Horror Show as Rocky. This is Maddie’s LSU Mainstage. She is so honored and appreciative of everyone involved in this show and this department.

Masen Keltner (Eli) is a Junior Theatre Performance and Philosophy dual degree candidate with a minor in business administration. Credits include a LSU Mainstage Production of Airness, To Stand in the Water and Feature Film Senior. He has also acted In productions of Into the Woods and The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey for local theaters in his home state, Florida.

Gabi Taylor (Maria) is thrilled to participate in At The Wedding at the LSU Shaver Theatre. This is her first Shaver Theatre production. She recently worked the LSU Theatre Mainstage production of Rachel as Mrs. Mary Loving and participated in the LSU Musical Theater Club production of Trail to Oregon. Gabi is majoring in Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism and minoring in Theater Performance.

Sam Staggs (Leigh) is a senior Theatre (performance) and Mechanical Engineering dual degree candidate. Previous credits include LSU Mainstage's Our Town, and LSU Theatre Lab's Man Talk, Woman Talk. She also directed LSU Theatre Lab's All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten last Fall and has appeared in the LSU Film and TV's Geaux Films State of Exception and 783 Bowman Avenue.

Sarah Short (Eva) is a senior Theatre (performance) major. Previous credits include LSU Theatre Mainstage’s Airness and LSU Theatre Lab’s The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?, Other Desert Cities, and To Stand in the Water. She also performed in Theatre Baton Rouge’s Murder on The Orient Express and Rocky Horror Show. She will be directing a lab show production of Antigone, Presented by the Girls of St. Catherine’s this fall.


Jose Rivera

Jose Rivera

Jose Rivera (Victor) is a senior theatre (performance) major. This is his LSU Main-Stage debut. He was also in the staged reading production of Hookman. His other credits include The Addams Family and Legally Blonde at Theatre Baton Rouge, as well as Seussical at Pineville High School.
