LADDL offers a broad target Influenza A matrix PCR assay that will detect the Flu virus. Nasal and/or pharyngeal swabs should be collected within the first four days of illness for testing by polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
TEST: Influenza A Matrix PCR
SPECIMEN: Nasal and Pharyngeal swabs. Place both swabs in a red top tube and ship overnight with a cold pack. Swabs will be processed together as one sample.
