Veterinary Care and Specialty Group (VCSG) is a privately-owned emergency and referral hospital located near downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee.

VCSG offers 24/7 Emergency Service, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology,

Dermatology, and Critical Care services.  Our staff includes Board Certified Surgeons, Internists, Anesthesiologist, and Criticalist. Our facility has the latest diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, digital radiology, CT, and state-of-the-art lab equipment.

We are building a hospital with 14,800 square feet. It will include an in-house 1.5 Tesla MRI, twelve Exam Rooms, three Surgery Suites, I131 Ward, Underwater Treadmill, Laser Therapy, Blood Bank, Cat Ward, and Isolation Ward. Dr. Billy Pullen and his wife Claudia, the owners of VCSG, have a vision for a hospital that will have all the specialties that veterinary medicine can offer. Move-in date is June 2020.

VCSG provides many great benefits such as health and supplemental insurance, 401K options, CE and professional membership allowances, PTO, personal pet discounts, and relocation assistance.

Chattanooga combines all the best aspects of living in a city and has immediate access to endless outdoor activities. Chattanooga continues to grow, but it will always have that small-town feel. Downtown offers a vibrant art scene, restaurants/bars/breweries, festivals, shopping, and more. We have many great public and private schools in the area and a plethora of activities to keep yourself or the family entertained. The city sits right on the Tennessee River with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Nashville, Knoxville, Birmingham, and Atlanta are all within a two-hour drive, and the airport offers direct service to other major airports.

VCSG is in search of talented, hardworking, and motivated veterinarians in the areas of emergency, neurology, surgery, cardiology, and oncology. However, we are not limiting our search to Board Certified veterinarians.  If you are interested in gaining experience that a busy private practice can offer, we will gladly welcome and consider fourth-year students, interns, and residents before they take their Boards.  VCSG is pleased to offer externships to third-year and fourth-year students.

If you want to work in a place where co-workers feel like family, and the staff is compassionate, dedicated, and hardworking, then VCSG is it!  Our goal is to provide outstanding medical care for each family’s beloved pet. Check out our website www.VCSGvets.com to learn more about us. For additional information, please contact our Hospital Administrator, Jim Sumner, CPA, jsumner@VCSGvets.com or call 423-591-0270.
