We are seeking a Veterinarian to join our dynamic team! The person in this role will need to bring excellent communication, a willingness to learn, focus on compliance, and a knowledge of and priority for animal health and welfare. We are seeking someone that is organized, analytical, collaborative, and is an outstanding problem-solver, a teamwork mentality and a positive attitude.

Primary ways the Veterinarian will contribute to the Envigo team:

  • Providing medical and surgical care for laboratory animals to ensure adequate and humane veterinary support.
  • Performing physical, ophthalmic and other needed exams on laboratory animals.
  • Providing expertise on animal health, biology, physiology, and research methodology to staff scientists and technicians and provides training to staff when needed.
  • Assisting site supervisor to ensure that company policies and practices regarding animal care and welfare are in compliance and contain relevant regulations.
  • Reporting all animal care concerns and becoming involved in the resolution.

We are looking for the following from the Veterinarian:

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate
  • Experience with non-human primates is desirable, but not required
  • Desire to work with non-human primates is required!
  • Active DEA registration
  • Active Texas DVM License or commitment to obtain within 30 days of offer
  • Willingness to work with laboratory animals in a research/laboratory setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)

North Central Veterinary Emergency Center (NCVEC) is seeking full or part-time experienced emergency veterinarians to join our talented team. We are looking for team members who are excited about continual growth and development of an exceptional emergency hospital. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for emergency medicine, excellent communication skills, and be a team player.

You will have the opportunity to use and expand your skills in clinical medicine and surgery. Our 24-hour 9,000 square foot facility on the Purdue North Central campus in Westville, Indiana, opened in 2003. The hospital has 5 exam rooms, modern surgical suites, digital radiographs, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and ophthalmology specialists during the weekdays. We are also affiliated with Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. This relationship provides access to the latest medicine along with being a tremendous resource for training and guidance when managing critical cases.

In June, 2014 we opened our satellite clinic in Highland, Indiana, close to I-80. This second location is a short drive from Chicago, has 4 exam rooms, and is similarly equipped.

Although emergency experience is preferred, we are open to the right candidate with a strong interest in emergency medicine.
