Animal Hospital of Lake Villa is a multi-doctor, AAHA accredited practice that provides preventative, surgical, and diagnostic services to its patients. We are a highly passionate group of individuals who value the importance of practicing the very best medicine with the most compassionate care. We believe in reducing the fear, stress, and anxiety that our patients may experience during a visit. Our staff is required to become Fear Free Certified and use the Fear-Free approach with every patient. We provide a full range of services including diagnostic testing, digital radiography, video otoscopy, ultrasound, laser therapy, surgery, preventative care, radiology, and dental cleaning, care, and oral surgery.  We see an array of small animals including dogs, cats, ferrets, bunnies, guinea pigs, and rats!

Milwaukee Ave., Lake Villa IL, 60046 The rapidly growing area of Lake Villa is in the Chain Lakes region with neighboring towns like Grayslake, Round Lake, Gurnee, Antioch, Fox Lake, Mundelein, Vernon Hills, and more. Only a 50-minute drive from downtown Chicago or Milwaukee, it makes for a great escape into a roaring nightlife, lots of history, and amazing sites. Other local attractions include Six Flags Great America and Gurnee Mills Mall which are only a 10-minute drive from the Animal Hospital itself! We are looking for a licensed veterinarian, from new graduate to seasoned veteran. An individual who is motivated to get the job done and is a great communicator. Our 2 current veterinarians have 30 and 25 years of experience. We are a member of the AAHA mentorship program and Dr. McGinnis has actually been featured in AAHA Trends magazine due to his mentorship work with new graduates. We're looking for someone who can provide services for best patient care and the mutual advancement, growth, and expansion of the team and practice. Salary and Benefits

We will be offering a competitive salary based on experience and with the opportunity for bonuses on production. Job Description

Naperville Animal Hospital, a well-established, multi-doctor, multi-location practice just 40 miles west of Chicago in beautiful DuPage Co, is seeking associate veterinarians to join our group of 27 doctors. Our full-service Hospitals are equipped with advanced technologies, including CT scanner, MRI, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital dental radiographs, full in-house laboratory and much more, all of which allow us to provide the ultimate in diagnosis and treatment for our canine, feline, avian and exotic patients. Our practice includes 24-hour ER service so if emergency medicine is your thing, you can learn and earn (extra!) by doing some ER work if you’d like, however it is NOT required.

Job Description: Associate Veterinarian for Emergency Clinic  

Full-time associate ER veterinarians can earn over $100,000 working three shifts per week. In fact, you do not need to be an experienced veterinarian in emergency medicine to be successful and new graduates would be an excellent fit for our practice. 

Animal Emergency Clinic (AEC) provides after hours veterinary care for our patients and referring veterinarians. We are a locally-owned private practice serving the Central Illinois region. Our hours of operation include weeknights, weekends, and most major holidays.

Mentoring Program

During the initial training process, new veterinarians are accompanied by another emergency clinician for the first six to eight weeks of practice. To gain surgical experience, your initial training will also include performing routine surgeries with Highland Pet Hospital in Bloomington, IL. In general, there is one emergency clinician with supporting staff on each shift and additional assistance can be provided by the on call doctors. 

Position Description

Most patients are seen for continual referral veterinary care, routine illnesses, and owner convenience. Routine responsibilities include evaluating and triaging patients, evaluating diagnostic tests (Bloodwork, Imaging), managing and supervising intensive care patients, performing surgical procedures, overseeing veterinary technicians or other support staff, and communicating with referring veterinarians and owners. The caseload for weekend days averages 10 cases per shift and weekday overnights averages 6 cases per shift. On average, a full-time associate will work 40 hours per week.
