Seminars

Psychoeducational seminars on pertinent mental health topics are available each semester and no referrals are necessary. Students can attend as many seminars as they choose. Students are encouraged to consult the seminars schedules below and check-in at the location indicated prior to the start time. 

This 6-week educational series teaches practical skills for effective management of anxious and depressed moods. You do not have to pre-register and can attend as many seminars as you would like.

Mental Health Service will offer three group sessions on relationships to self and others. Learn ways to improve your current relationships, prepare for future ones, and handle the hardships that may come. Interested students are encouraged to join the series or drop in for a topic of interest.

Launch is an open group for first-year students who want to build skills to support their transition to college. Interested students are welcome to come to all the sessions or only the sessions of interest.

Attending Mental Health 101 is a great way to learn valuable information about the variety of support and consultation services offered through the Student Health Center, as well as other campus and community providers.

Students who are experiencing nightmares, panic, or feelings of disconnection will practice skills for cultivating a greater sense of safety, reconnection, and emotional balance to support improved sleep and physical health.

Female-identified students only at this time. You do not have to pre-register and can attend as many seminars as you would like.

This educational seminar, focusing on law students, teaches skills for effective management of stress. Learn ways to identify sources of stress, how to harness stress and use it to your advantage, and how stress, values and goals are all connected.

This seminar will be held three times during the spring semester. Interested students do not have to pre-register and can attend as many times as they like. Lunch provided.

This educational seminar, focusing on law students, teaches skills to reduce stress, increase self-compassion and improve sense of well-being and connectedness. This six-session series will guide students through an experiential learning process aimed at applying mindfulness in daily life. Interested students do not have to preregister and can attend as many sessions as they like.
