For an appointment call 225-578-6716 during hours of operation. Appointments are preferred. Patients without appointments may be seen depending on the severity of the problem. Urgent care cases always take priority.
An ambulance may be summoned for acute medical emergencies by dialing 578-HELP (4357). State the condition of the person and the
exact location. If you are in a residence hall, a staff person should be notified at once.
For emergencies, call or go to one of the following hospital emergency rooms, open 24 hours daily:
Baton Rouge General Hospital
8585 Picardy Ave.

Mental Health Emergencies
It is always recommended that students call the clinic to schedule an appointment for service. However, the Mental Health Service has a counselor available for students in times of an urgent situation/emergency during regular clinic hours.
