LSU SHS Monthly Meetings

A key component to the Science Honors Scholars program consists of monthly meetings.  

At these gatherings we discuss research, future plans for individuals, academic life, and a variety of other topics relevant to students majoring in science and math here at LSU.  Frequently, these meetings involve a seminar given by a faculty member on current research or topics of broad interest, presented in an accessible manner for our diversity of science and math backgrounds.  From 2011 through 2015, Professor Kyle Harms of the Department of Biological Sciences organized these meetings in his capacity as faculty advisor to the group.  Just prior to Spring Semester 2016, Professor Sophie Warny of the Department of Geology and Geophysics became the faculty advisor to the group.
