Girls Day at the Museum
Wanted: GIRLS who are problem solvers, explorers and hidden gem seekers—for a day of science fun at the LSU Museum of Natural Science.
When: Saturday, February 23, 2019, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: LSU Museum of Natural Science, 119 Foster Hall
Spend an evening exploring the reptiles, birds, fish and other exciting collections in the LSU Museum of Natural Science. Snack and chat with some of LSU’s top women scientists and participate in fun hands-on activities hosted by a variety of LSU science, technology, engineering, and math programs.
Who’s eligible to participate? Girls in 4th through 6th grade with an interest in science.
Application Deadline: Friday, January 18, 2019
How do I apply? Download and complete the 2019 Girls Night at the Museum application form below in the hopes of being one of 32 girls selected to spend a Saturday in LSU's Museum of Natural Science. The application requires a one-page essay about why you are interested in science and how you think science can change the world. The application also includes a participant authorization form and a photography and social media release form that must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian.
To ensure we get your application on time, we encourage applicants to fill out the application packet and submit it online.
