Diversity makes our science better

The College of Science Office of Diversity and Inclusion is committed to fostering exemplary educational and professional opportunities that support individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of race, class, gender, ethnicity, religion, accessibility, or socioeconomic status. We firmly believe that the College’s mission to serve as the primary intellectual resource for Louisiana is intimately tied to our ability to support the recruitment, retention, and advancement of individuals that make up the rich cultural heritage of our great state.

We recognize that our science benefits from diverse viewpoints, experiences, and perspectives and that the promotion of inclusive excellence is key to all that we do.

Dr. Zakiya Wilson-Kennedy, Associate Dean for Diversity & Inclusion, College of Science
