Area of Interest
Our research is centered on the development of new bioanalytical chemistry techniques
and their application to address research problems at the frontiers of biochemistry
and biomedicine. Our adventures in pursuit of new bioanalytical measurement methods
lead us in exciting and often unexpected scientific directions. One current project
focuses on the development and application of capillary electrophoretic assays for
studying enzyme inhibition. Another current research interest is the development
of separation and detection methods for studying protein aggregation related to diseases
such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease and Parkinson’s disease. We also
are interested in fundamental experimental studies of electroosmotic flow and immobilization
of magnetic particles in microfluidic systems.
