Job Description:
Applications are invited for a laboratory technician position in the Li lab in the Department of Biological Sciences and the Center of Computation & Technology at Louisiana State University. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks to help with laboratory and field study set up. 



50% Help with field site set up and conduct fieldwork including plant community sampling, plant phenology recording, soil sampling, etc. This will require driving to sites.
30% Help with laboratory set up, including ordering equipment, computers, etc.
20% Data input and management, communication with collaborators, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with specific fieldwork experiences, especially plant identification and sampling experiences or with strong desire to learn such skills. Having some experience\ with data management is a plus but not required.


Special/Physical Qualifications:

Drivers license is required.

Job Competencies:

Proficient at communicating with different stakeholders.
