Updated Information Desk in the LSU Student Union

BATON ROUGE – LSU Auxiliary Services is excited to unveil a newly renovated Information Desk in the LSU Student Union.

The Information Desk, located on the second floor by the main entrance, was an area not updated during the large-scale LSU Student Union renovation project that was completed over a decade ago. The Information Desk is a general resource area for visitors to the LSU Student Union. LSU Auxiliary Services collaborated with several campus departments and student representatives to ensure the renovated Information Desk can facilitate updated operations, while also serving as a welcoming area for all students, faculty, staff, and community members.

“Our goal was to demonstrate LSU’s commitment to welcoming students from diverse backgrounds,” said Margot Carroll, assistant vice president of LSU Auxiliary Services. “We incorporated design elements suggested by representatives from the College of Art & Design, International Services, Office of Diversity and Student Government.”

The new design will be unveiled with a ceremony on Monday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend with light refreshments provided.
