BATON ROUGE – Nearly 2,000 LSU students, staff and faculty are expected to come together with Baton Rouge residents for the annual Geaux BIG Baton Rouge service project on Saturday, March 23. Volunteers will say “thank you” to the surrounding community by helping improve homes, schools and nonprofit organizations.

Geaux BIG Baton Rouge brings together volunteers from across campus to complete projects requested by residents and local nonprofits. Volunteers will be available to serve at more than 100 work sites, which can range from working in yards to cleaning homes and visiting with the elderly. Residents and organizations interested in requesting volunteers can submit a job site application at lsu.edu/geauxbig before Monday, Feb. 11.

LSU students, staff and faculty, including student organizations, can register to volunteer between now and March 16 by visiting lsu.edu/geauxbig.

Geaux BIG Baton Rouge is a large, one-day service experience that unites LSU students and the surrounding Baton Rouge community. This event provides volunteers with valuable leadership experience and networking opportunities as they work to improve the city we call home.
