As part of LSU's 297th commencement exercises, the university recognized gratuating seniors who participated in ROTC programs while at LSU with a commissioning ceremony.

BATON ROUGE – Two LSU graduates were recognized during LSU’s fall commissioning ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 13, in Hill Memorial Library. Brig. Gen. John B. Dunlap III, assistant adjutant general Louisiana Army National Guard, served as keynote speaker for the ceremony.

LSU ARMY ROTC:
Baton Rouge – 2nd Lt. Lukas K. Dretzka received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Engineering in industrial engineering with a minor in professional leadership development from the Department of Military Science. After graduation, 2nd Lt. Dretzka reports to Basic Officer Leaders Course in Fort Leonardwood, Mo.

LSU AIR FORCE ROTC:
Baton Rouge – 2nd Lt. Nikolaus James Bihlmeyer received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Engineering in industrial engineering. After graduation, 2nd Lt. Bihlmeyer reports to Cyber Space Operations Officer Training at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss. 

In addition, one graduate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette that took part in LSU’s Army ROTC program was commissioned.
