RFQ Process Concludes for Charity Hospital in New Orleans
BATON ROUGE – The LSU Real Estate and Facilities Foundation, or LSU REFF, an affiliate of the LSU Foundation, has successfully concluded the Request for Qualifications process for the adaptive reuse of the former Charity Hospital building at 1532 Tulane Avenue, adjacent to the LSU Health New Orleans campus.
The RFQ, issued April 16, focused solely on team composition and qualifications and did not request development concepts, programs, preservation approaches, renderings or similar information. Teams who submitted responses include both local and national groups eager to participate in this important opportunity.
The RFQ will serve to identify highly qualified teams who will be invited to submit redevelopment proposals through a Request for Proposals, or RFP. Through the RFP, to be issued at a later date, the LSU REFF will identify a development team with the vision, experience and financial capability required to deliver a development that will catalyze the revitalization of the neighborhood, providing ample and equitable opportunities to all New Orleans residents to live, work, play and be a part of this community.
