Jonathan Allen, author of “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign,” to speak at LSU Nov. 13

BATON ROUGE – Jonathan Allen, award-winning journalist and New York Times bestselling author, will discuss his recent book on Hillary Clinton’s loss in the 2016 election and what went wrong. The Monday, Nov. 13, talk is open to the public.

Allen will speak from noon to 1 p.m. in the Holliday Forum of the Journalism Building at LSU. Tickets are not necessary.

“Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign” analyzes the decisions, unseized opportunities and well-intentioned misfires that led to Clinton’s defeat in the 2016 presidential election. Allen and co-author Amie Parnes describe how Hillary made victory an uphill battle for herself.

Allen is a national political reporter for NBC News’ Digital team. Previously, he was the Washington bureau chief for Bloomberg News, the White House bureau chief for Politico and a congressional reporter for Politico. Allen published his first book, “HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton,” with Amie Parnes in 2014 and has appeared on all three major news networks as a political analyst.

The event is sponsored by the Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs, an integral part of the Manship School of Mass Communication.
