BATON ROUGE – The LSU Flores MBA online program is ranked No. 57 among public colleges and universities and is No. 72 overall in U.S. News & World Report’s rankings of best online MBA programs released today.

“We’re thrilled that U.S. News & World Report recognized the continued growth and success of the Online Flores MBA Program,” said Dana Hart, interim director of the Flores MBA program. “We officially launched this program in March 2013 and now, with more than 100 students enrolled, we look forward to building on our accomplishments and leveraging our excellent brand.”

The 2015 Best Online MBA Programs rankings evaluate schools based solely on data related to their distance education MBA programs. In the past, USNWR combined MBA programs, as well as other online business master’s degree programs, for a single ranking. This year, non-MBA business degrees were assessed separately for a different ranking.

Because the ranking is new, USNWR stated its results and data are not comparable to those from previous online business rankings. In addition, only 196 schools are included this year, as opposed to 225 in last year’s rankings under the previous formula.

Schools’ ranks were based on five general categories: student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training and student services and technology.

“Our online MBA program helps those in the workforce become leaders in their industry and reach the next level in their careers,” said Richard D. White, dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business. “This latest ranking is a testament to the work of our MBA faculty, staff, students and graduates.”

The online Flores MBA program is designed for professionals with at least five years of work experience. Recognized by some of the world’s most influential business thought leaders, this program helps students hone the leadership, management and critical analysis skills to set themselves apart in any industry. The program consists of 14 courses, each being seven weeks long.
