BATON ROUGE – The U.S. Army Band, known worldwide as “Pershing’s Own,” brings its Army Blues “Swamp Romp” to Baton Rouge for a free concert on Monday, May 19, at 7 p.m. at LSU’s New Tiger Band Hall. The concert is billed as a Louisiana musical tribute to Louisiana veterans.

The one-time-only special event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

Formed in the late 1990s by Louisiana expatriates and LSU alumni Harry Watters on trombone and Graham Breedlove on trumpet, Swamp Romp has delighted audiences across the nation with the sounds of South Louisiana for more than 15 years. Their program music is an exciting gumbo of traditional New Orleans jazz, Zydeco and Cajun music and original compositions to delight music fans young and old.

The Tiger Band Hall is located on Aster Street near Highland Road. For more information, contact the LSU Alumni Association at 225-578-3838.
