College of Human Sciences & Education Seeking Award Nominations

BATON ROUGE – The LSU College of Human Sciences & Education invites its faculty, staff, students and alumni to nominate candidates to be recognized for proven records of exceptional service to their professions, school, college or university.

The college is composed of six schools: the School of Education, the School of Human Resource Education and Workforce Development, the School of Kinesiology, the School of Library and Information Science, the School of Social Work and the University Laboratory School.

“The College of Human Sciences & Education is dedicated to impacting the human life,” said Dean Damon Andrew. “We wish to recognize outstanding individuals who are dedicated to learning, scholarship, and community engagement as they address complex human issues across the lifespan. I encourage all of our constituents and peers to help in this process of honoring some of the finest ambassadors of LSU.”

Awards to be conferred are the Advocate for Diversity; Distinguished Research Award; Distinguished Teaching Award; Early Career Award; Engagement Award; Outstanding Service Award; Alumni Distinction Award; Distinguished Ambassador Award; Philanthropist of the Year Award; and Community Partner Award.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, Jan. 24, 2014.

The honors will be conferred at the annual CHSE Awards Banquet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014.
