LSUCIA Set to Host Two Fall Information Nights

BATON ROUGE – The LSU Center for Internal Auditing will host two information nights this semester for students interested in learning more about the advantages of a career in internal auditing. Each session is scheduled to be held at the Business Education Complex, with the first of the two sessions set for Sept. 17.

According to LSUCIA Director Glenn Sumners, staff from the center will be present to discuss topics such as internship possibilities with Fortune 500 companies and the fast track to upper-level management positions that a career in internal auditing can provide.

“There will also be networking opportunities with business professionals and refreshments at both sessions,” Sumners said.

               Tuesday, Sept. 17, 6 p.m., BEC Room 1125

• Session 2
               Monday, Oct. 7, 6 p.m., BEC Room 1615

The Center for Internal Auditing at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business is a multidisciplinary program with students from more than 20 different business and non-business majors that is considered the premier internal audit program in the world. LSUCIA serves as a model for similar programs in other schools and internationally and provides training to graduate and undergraduate students for developing an understanding about the internal auditing profession.
