BATON ROUGE – Jared Llorens, Texas Tiger Tournament/Greater Houston Alumni Association Developing Scholar Professor and LSU Public Administration Institute faculty member, was named to editorial posts for two separate journals – Public Administration and Public Personnel Management.

Llorens will serve as one of only two U.S. editors for Public Administration, which is one of the field’s oldest journals and examines public administration from an international perspective. He will also serve on Public Personnel Management’s Editorial Board. The latter of the journals focuses on trends, case studies and the latest research by top human resource scholars and industry experts.

“It is a tremendous honor to be chosen to serve in posts for both of these esteemed journals,” Llorens said. “My hope is that my expertise in human resources management, public sector compensation, research methods and public policy will assist in adding to the exemplary work that has long been produced by both of these publications.”

Llorens, who joined the E. J. Ourso College in 2009, earned his Ph.D. in public administration from the University of Georgia in 2007. Next month, he will travel to China as an invited speaker for the International Young Scholars Workshop, a conference that is being co-sponsored by the American Society for Public Administration and the Central University of Finance and Economics.

The Public Administration Institute at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business offers a 42-hour degree program that emphasizes management and financial skills for those leading public agencies, nonprofit and healthcare organizations and for-profit organizations that interact with governmental agencies. PAI’s faculty members are student-oriented and nationally-recognized for their expertise in their fields. For more information, visit or call 225-578-6743.
