BATON ROUGE – The LSU Manship School of Mass Communication’s Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs proudly announces Director Robert Mann has been elected to the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame.

The Friends of the Louisiana Political Museum and Hall of Fame Foundation chose Mann as one of six new inductees in the 2014 class, and will hold an induction ceremony at its annual banquet in February.

Mann boasts a full political career. In addition to serving as director for the Reilly Center, Mann currently holds the Manship Chair in Mass Communication at LSU’s Manship School and writes a column for Times-Picayune. After a career in journalism, he served as press secretary to U.S. Senators Russell Long and John Breaux and as communications director for Gov. Kathleen Blanco. He’s also a historian and author.
