BATON ROUGE – Shell will sponsor a jambalaya mixer as a way to say “welcome back”
for LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business students. The college will host the event
in The Rotunda of the Business Education Complex on Thursday, Jan. 17, from noon to
1 p.m. The first 500 attendees will receive free jambalaya and a drink. Faculty and
staff members of the college are invited to attend as well.
According, to E. J. Ourso College Alumni & External Relations Director Wendy Luedtke,
Shell will also have representatives onsite in The Rotunda who will be accepting résumés
from students for internships and job opportunities.
“The representatives will be at a table in The Rotunda from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.,” Luedtke
said. “This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase themselves and possibly
begin a career with one of the world’s leading corporations.”
Additionally, Luedtke stated that students are invited to wear their purple and gold on Thursday to show their Tiger pride, as there will be several photographers on campus to capture photos that will be used in various promotional pieces and online. The photographers will be at the BEC all day and will even venture into classrooms to take photos.
Since its establishment in 1928, the E. J. Ourso College of Business has continuously improved and expanded its offerings for students and alumni. Additionally, the college has made it a priority to provide faculty with the resources needed to further research in every aspect of the business world and to produce industry leaders for our global work environment.
