BATON ROUGE – Corey Tisdale, CEO of LLC, will be the next speaker in LSU Executive Education’s Breakfast to Business series. The event will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13, in room 1420 of LSU’s Business Education Complex from 7:30-8:30 a.m. The Business Education Complex is located on Nicholson Extension in Baton Rouge.

Breakfast to Business is being held during Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week, or BREW, a week-long celebration of entrepreneurship in the city. Tisdale’s presentation, “Of Steel Will and Silver Tongue: Bootstrapping a Successful Growth Company,” will highlight his entrepreneurial background.

Tisdale will share his experience with, the Baton Rouge Business Report’s 2012 company of the year under 100 employees, and the ways he has learned to think about building a high-growth business. His presentation will focus on the following three mindsets for successful entrepreneurial growth:

  • The question is not who is going to let you; it is who is going to stop you;
  • True nobility is being superior to your former self, not others;
  • Leaders are best when they empower their teams.

“Dealing with explosive growth is a challenge for many entrepreneurs,” said LSU Executive Education Director Robin Kistler. “Corey’s experience at the helm of a high-growth company will provide valuable insight into how to manage such growth successfully.”

Registration for the event is $25 per participant, which includes a full breakfast, coffee, juice and the opportunity to meet with LSU experts and business professionals from the Baton Rouge area. LSU students, staff and faculty may register at a reduced rate of $20.
